Mission Statement

The mission of the Detroit Restaurant Association is to lead the foodservice and hospitality industry in Detroit through advocacy, education and innovation.

History

The Detroit Restaurant Association (DRA) was formed as a local chapter of the Michigan Restaurant Association (MRA) tasked with representing the local interests of the nearly 1,000 restaurants operating in Michigan’s largest city. Our industry plays an integral role in Michigan's economy, employing more than 435,000 people and creating $15.9 billion in annual sales, with over 11,000 employees and $686,676,000 in sales from Detroit.

What We Do

The DRA provides owners and operators with access to member benefit programs, valuable industry connections, political and community representation and support for initiatives that will best impact you and your business. Members of the DRA can also access discounts on ServSafe certifications and exclusive educational and professional development opportunities. As a collective voice, we provide representation where it matters, ultimately positioning your restaurant for success.
